Our Team

Dr. Doris Ryan is a Florida licensed psychologist who has many years of experience providing services in outpatient clinics and hospitals. She is an independent contractor and provides services at Hammond Psychology & Associates, P.A. Dr. Ryan provides psychological evaluation services and therapy for older children, adolescents, and adults using a cognitive behavioral and object relations focus. She provides treatment for a wide variety of problems including anxiety, depression, reactions to traumatic experiences, emotional problems, and relationship difficulties. She has special experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy and schema therapy. Dr. Ryan conducts psychological evaluations to establish a diagnosis and provide treatment recommendations for the full range of emotional and relationship problems experienced by children and adults.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Ryan has served for many years as a consultant, supervisor, and director in outpatient and inpatient mental health clinics. She provides training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, schema therapy, motivational interviewing, and object relations treatment.

Dr. Ryan completed her doctoral degree at the University of South Carolina. She has worked in outpatient and inpatient settings in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Indiana before deciding to leave the snow and ice and move to Florida. She is often described as having a kind, calm, and gentle approach to her work. Dr. Ryan will pay special attention to your goals and treatment preferences.
