Dr. Elsa Marie Obén
Dr. Elsa Marie Obén is an independent practitioner of Oben Health Services, LLC who also provides services at Hammond Psychology & Associates, P.A. She is a psychologist licensed to practice in the state of Florida. Dr. Obén provides Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and other evidenced-based therapies to children, adolescents, and adults. She helps patients with emotional, behavioral, and adjustment problems, such as anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship problems. As part of her practice, Dr. Obén conducts assessment to individuals with psychological disorders including ADHD, learning disabilities, depression and anxiety. Dr. Obén also assists with gifted and school entry evaluations.
Dr. Obén has experience providing psychoeducation to children, adolescents and families on better management, understanding, and acceptance of Type I diabetes. Moreover, Dr. Obén has actively participated in seminars and published articles in newspapers addressing the treatment of children diagnosed with Type I diabetes.
Dr. Obén has a doctorate degree from Carlos Albizu University. Dr. Obén recently completed a fellowship with Hillsborough County Public Schools. During the fellowship, she provided counseling services to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral difficulties. She speaks both English and Spanish.
Kristin Muller, M.A.
Kristin Muller, M.A. is currently a fourth year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at the Florida School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Criminology from Florida State University in 2003 Kristin worked within several areas of social services including a position as Family Advocate for the Head Start Program and as a Social Service Liaison for a system of hospitals. Following employment in social services years Kristin obtained a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a childhood and adolescence specialization. She is currently working under the supervision of Dr. Hammond and Dr. Oben.
Kristin has provided assessment and therapeutic services to a variety of different populations within various clinical settings including community mental health, forensics, college counseling, and private practice. Currently Kristin provides psychological services to children, adolescents, and adults at Centerstone Behavioral Health Hospital. Kristin’s research interest includes severe and persistent psychopathology, substance abuse, trauma related disorders, and eating disorders. In rare hours when Kristin is not completing homework or providing therapeutic services she enjoys reading, exercising, going to the beach, fishing and surfing.
Marilyn Paradoa, M.A.
Marilyn Paradoa, M.A. is a doctoral student entering her fourth year in the Clinical Psychology program at the Florida School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Florida in 2009. While at the University of Florida, Marilyn worked with the research team within the Child Psychiatry division at Shands Hospital, where she worked extensively with child and adolescent clients with obsessive-compulsive disorder, trichotillomania, and various anxiety disorders. Marilyn obtained a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the Florida School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in 2015. Marilyn will be providing clinical services under the supervision of Dr. Hammond and Dr. Oben.
Marilyn has worked with a wide range of populations and within different settings, including private practice, community mental health, hospitals, interdisciplinary centers for assessment and evaluation, and the public school system. She currently provides therapeutic services to children and adolescents within the Department of Juvenile Justice. She also provides services within a private practice setting, where she completes bilingual assessments and evaluations. Fostered by her previous work in various clinical settings and her research background, Marilyn’s current interests include severe and chronic child and adolescent psychopathology, autism spectrum disorder, as well as different anxiety disorders and conduct disorders seen in children and adolescents. She also has a strong passion for leadership and advocacy related work within psychology.
Diana Gerardi, M.A.
Diana Gerardi, M.A. is a fourth-year graduate student working on her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, with a concentration in Neuropsychology, at the Florida School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the Florida School of Professional Psychology, and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of South Florida. She currently provides psychotherapy and assessment services at Hammond Psychology & Associates, P.A. and at Tampa General Hospital. She has provided psychotherapy services at Centerstone Behavioral Hospital and Addiction Center, where she worked with individuals diagnosed with substance use disorders, depressive disorders, PTSD, and bipolar disorder among others. She has conducted comprehensive psychological assessments at both the Rothman Center for Pediatric Neuropsychiatry working with children with ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder, as well as at Hammond Psychology & Associates, P.A. working predominantly with adults. Diana has worked as a research and clinical assistant at the Rothman Center, and has co-authored several peer-reviewed publications on topics including pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome and seizure disorders among others. Diana has presented at regional conferences on topics such as borderline personality disorder and the DSM-5. Her clinical and research interests include the treatment of serious and persistent mental illness, child and adult assessment, and neuropsychiatric conditions. She is currently supervised under Dr. Oben and Dr. Hammond
Mae Caldorni is the office staff/receptionist who always provides a friendly smile and warm, caring voice answering your questions and phone calls. She has been working with Hammond Psychology & Associates, P.A. since April 2013. Her previous experience includes working as an office manager for a dental office, sales, and customer service. Hammond Psychology & Associates, P.A. appreciates Mae’s sense of humor and caring nature while she works with clients and staff.
Mrs. Caldorni is very knowledgeable about the services offered at the practice, so feel free to call her with any questions you may have. More than likely, she will make you laugh or smile — she is great at that!
